The conference for all the clergy the diocese was held at the Hayes Conference Centre, Swanwick this week (ah, so that's why no one could find a vicar!) and was, as it's title sugested, inspirational. Elaine is an academic, broadcaster and President of Tear Fund and Stephen is Bishop of Chelmsford and an author of a number of books about sharing faith. Their subject - what is hope and how can we live and minister hopefully?
